Measuring Tutorial for Plantation Shutters

YOU SAID...

You would like to mount your shutters outside the opening.
You don't have any trim around the opening.
You may or may not have a sill.
You would like Double-Hung Shutters.

Double Hung

Measure Width

Use a steel measuring tape and measure to the nearest 1/8"

Measure inside the opening in 3 places.
Enter the largest width on the order form.

Measure Height

If you have a sill...

Window Style 2

Measure from the top of sill to the top of the opening in 3 places.
Enter the largest height on the order form.
We also need to know the distance from the bottom of the shutter to the center line (cut line.) Enter this in the Comments field or we'll ask you when we call to confirm your order.

If you don't have a sill...

Window Style 1

Measure from the bottom of the opening to the top in 3 places.
Enter the largest height on the order form.
We also need to know the distance from the bottom of the shutter to the center line (cut line.) Enter this in the Comments field or we'll ask you when we call to confirm your order.
