Measuring Tutorial for Plantation Shutters


YOU SAID...

  • You would like to mount your shutters outside the opening.
  • You have trim.
  • You may or may not have a sill.
  • You would like Full-Length Shutters.

Full Length



Measure Width

  • Use a steel measuring tape and measure to the nearest 1/8"
  • Measure from the outside edge of the window trim to the outside edge of the window trim. Measure in 3 places.

  • Enter the largest width on the order form.

Measure Height

If you have a sill...

Window Style 3

  • Measure from the top of sill to the outside edge of the top trim in 3 places.

  • Enter the largest height on the order form.

If you don't have a sill...

Window Style 4

  • Measure from the edge of the bottom trim to the outside edge of the top trim in 3 places.

  • Enter the largest height on the order form.
