Measuring Tutorial for Plantation Shutters

YOU SAID...

You would like to mount your shutters outside the opening.
You have trim.
You may or may not have a sill.
You would like Double-Hung Shutters.

Double Hung

Measure Width

Use a steel measuring tape and measure to the nearest 1/8"

Measure from the outside edge of the window trim to the outside edge of the window trim. Measure in 3 places.
Enter the largest width on the order form.

Measure Height

If you have a sill...

Window Style 3

Measure from the edge of the bottom trim to the outside edge of the top trim in 3 places.
We need to know the distance from the bottom of the shutter to the center line (cut line.) We'll ask you when we call to confirm your order.

If you don't have a sill...

Window Style 4

Measure from the top of sill to the outside edge of the top trim in 3 places.

We need to know the distance from the bottom of the shutter to the center line (cut line.) We'll ask you when we call to confirm your order.
